كم خارطه تركب على النوفي واسمائها

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
وجدت الموضوع التالي يتحدث عن خرائط النوفي وحببت نقله لكم علما انه ليس لدي جهاز لتجربته على الواقع والتأكد من صحته ولا احد يسألني لان ماعندي جهاز من لديه جهاز واحب ان يخدم اخوانه بشرح الموضوع وتطبيقاته او الاضافه اليه فقد يكون مدخلا لمناقشة موضوع خرائط النوفي واحب فقط ان انبه الى ضرورة اخذ الحيطه والحذر وعمل نسخه احتياطيه للخرائط قبل اي اضافه او حذف او تعديل

You can have various mapsets loaded on your nuvi...not just the basemap and detail map. These mapsets all reside in the x:/Garmin folder on both the nuvi drive and the SD Card drive. The nuvi 7x0 can access up to six different mapsets (*one* on the SD Card). The nuvi 7x5 can access up to nine different mapsets (*one* on the SD Card)

Example:

Mapset 1. City Navigator North America NT 2009 = nuvi drive main detail mapset (gmapprom.img)
Mapset 2. City Navigator Mexico NT 2008 = nuvi drive OEM detailed mapset (gmapoem.img)
Mapset 3. US Topo 2008 = nuvi drive supplemental detailed mapset (gmapsupp.img)
Mapset 4. City Navigator Europe NT 2009 = SD Card drive supplemental mapset (gmapsupp.img)
Mapset 5. nuvi drive Basemap (gmapbmap.img)

*Note: Before fiddling with mapsets, make a backup of them first, especially gmapprom.img as this is your main detailed mapset.

Here's a list of the nuvi 7x0 & 7x5's mapset names & their relationship with the nuvi
drive/SD Card:

Nuvi map naming convention

1. gmapprom.img: (7x0/7x5) nuvi drive only, (primary mapset)

2. gmapprom1.img: (7x0/7x5) nuvi drive only (secondary mapset) example: North American / European units

3. gmapsupp.img: (7x0/7x5) nuvi drive (supplemental mapset)

4. gmapsupp.img: (7x0/7x5) nuvi SD Card drive (supplemental mapset)

5. gmapoem.img: (7x0/7x5) nuvi drive only (OEM mapset), user accessible, cannot be unselected from the unit via Tools/Settings/Map/Map Info

*Note, when using the following default system maps as user maps, you'll naturally lose their default map attributes.

6. gmapbmap.img: (7x0/7x5) nuvi drive only (default basemap), configurable as a supplemental map; rename desired mapset to gmapbmap.img, NOT selectable and does NOT show up under installed maps (Tools/Settings/Map/Map Info) but may be visible under Tools/Settings/System/About/Basemap

7. gmaptz.img: (7x5 only) nuvi drive only (default 7x5 Timezone map), configurable as a supplemental map; rename desired mapset to gmaptz.img

8. gmap3d.img: (7x5 only) nuvi drive only (default 7x5 3D Buildings map), configurable as a supplemental map; rename desired mapset to gmap3d.img

+9. gmap3d1.img (7x5 only) nuvi drive only (secondary 7x5 3D Buildings map), configurable as a supplemental map; rename desired mapset to gmap3d1.img

شكل الموضوع اعلاه يحتاج الى شرح طويل ومعرفه تامه بموضوع خرائط النوفي وقد بحثت عن طريه اسهل ووجدت الموضوع التالي

I suspect, but do not know for sure, that it applies to other Nuvis.

As I said above, the files you can have on the internal flash are:
gmapprom.img (normally preinstalled maps)
gmapprom1.img (normally used when both EU and US are on the GPS)
gmapsupp.img (maps downloaded to the GPS)
gmapbmap.img (base map)
gmapoem.img (Oem maps?)

On SD card you can only have gmapsupp.img.

That does not place a limit on the number of map segments you can have. Using Mapsource, you can combine multiple map segments into single files. You could, for example, use Mapsource to combine both Europe and Mexico into a single file for storage on the external flash.

There are separate limits on the number of map segments allowed to be active, and the size of files. The maximum size of any file is 2 GB. The limit on the number of map segments is 4005. City Navigator North America NT uses 63 map segments.

You're unlikely to bump into the map segment limit unless you use topo maps, where the segments cover a pretty small area. (Segments are the smallest selectable area in a map - usually a state or province in CN NA NT
الموضوع يتحدث عن اولا الخرائط الممكن اضافتها باالذاكره الداخليه للجهاز وقد عددها وهي خمس وتنطبق على جهازه 660
ثم اتى الى الاهم في نظري وهو ان الذاكره الخارجيه للجهاز لايمكن تحميلها الا بملف واحد فقط مثلا gmapsupp.img ولكن هذا الملف يمكن ان يحتوي على عدة خرائط عن طريق دمج اكثر من خريطه في هذا الملف ومن ثم ارسالها الى الذاكره الخارجيه
هو يتحدث عن جهازه نوفي 660 ولكن ربما ينطبق على الاجهزه الاخرى (وربما تكون سعتها وتحملها اكبر) وباالنسبة لجهازه الحد الاعلى للملف المدموج 2 قيق وباالنسبة لعدد الاجزاء التي يحتويها الملف لاتزيد عن 4005 جزء والجزء هو اصغر منطقه يمكن ان يرسلها المابسورس للجهاز وضرب مثلا ان خارطة امريكا تتكون من 63 جزء على اية حال هذه تفصيلات تقنيه
مافهمته من الموضوع ان الذاكره الخارجيه للنوفي حسب جهازه لا تتحمل الا بملف واحد ولكن هذا الملف يمكن ان يحتوي على عدة خرائط مختلفه عن طريق دمجها وارسالها للجهاز بواسطة المابسورس وقد ذكر مشارك اخر بنفس الموضوع انه فعلا تمكن من دمج بعض الخرائط وحفضها باالذاكره الخارجيه اعتقد ان العمليه مشابهه للدمج في قارمن الجوال ليس لدي جهاز ومن لديه جهاز يجرب دمج خرائطنا ومن ثم ارسالها الى الذاكره الخارجيه عن طريق المابسورس اما موضوعي الاول فهو يتحدث عن الخرائط للذاكره الداخليه لسلسلتي 7x0 و7x5 ماعدي واحده تخص الذاكره الخارجيه التي عرضتها في هذه المشاركه الموضوع طال اكثر من اللزم ولكن فيه تفصيل تقني يفيد من يحب التفاصيل وفقكم الله

Windows Media Player will play it just fine.

Basically, I selected the map from the drop down box, held down the left mouse button and dragged it across and up to the top or bottom. It automatically added all the map sections.
I did that for all 3 maps.

I took out the "Auto Name The Map Set" check mark and called it "All".

It took a good hour to process the 3 maps into 1 file and write it to the SD card. I used an external USB 2.0 SD card reader and an old 2gb SD card. I have a Core2Duo @ 2.13ghz with 4gb of ram.

Total size on SD card: 1.59GB
